Banamex

Banamex (or Banco Nacional de Mexico) is owned by Citigroup and based in the Federal District of Mexico.

It was established on June 2, 1884 as a result of the merger of two banks: the Nacional Mexicano and Mercantil Mexicano.

In August 2001, the bank became part of Citigroup, the world’s leading financial institution with presence in over 100 countries.
